North Stevenage – Solar & Batteries
Serving as a prime example for one of our on-roof systems, this project consisted of 16 panels on the roof attached with Fastensol roof hooks and rails. Overall, this install contains 5.76kWp of installed power, tied in seamlessly with Huawei’s inverter and battery set-up from fusion solar.
The on-roof system is the easiest to install, the roof hooks slide under the roof tiles and attach to the rafters. This leaves the roof fully waterproof with little waste to dispose of.
Welwyn Village – GSE-Inroof System
A stunning display of the GSE in-roof system we love to use here at Untapped, this system fits flush with the roof tiles. Seamlessly fitting in this roof with the use of underpanels, any water that runs down the roof flows down and out, not in. This system is perfect if your roof needs some repairs or completely re-roofing. Here at untapped, we always recommend (and offer) repairs before an install if they’re needed, if solar panels last 25+ years, so should the roof!
This install included 5.25kWp of installed generation, with the Fusion Solar inverter and 15kWh of batteries, keeping this customer’s bills low, while being very independent from the grid.
Wheathampstead – Large Solar PV Install
Our biggest domestic project yet, this in-roof GSE system works beautifully against slate tiles. With such a large roof, this client wanted as much power as possible being generated for his super green new build. Presently planning on installing air-source heat pumps, an electrical boiler system and EV charging, all 9.00kWp of installed power won’t be going to waste!
Hitchin – GivEnergy Garage Install
Yet another GivEnergy System, this customer only had a small garage roof available for solar panels, but even still, we managed to deliver a 4.25kW Solar PV system. You’ll see the Inverter at the top, converting the solar energy into usable power, as well as two 5.2kWh batteries stacked together.
Utilising this energy storage allows the customer to operate the property almost self-sufficiently in the sunnier months, with enough solar from the 4.25kW system to keep the house going overnight.
Many of our customers are even using cheap, nighttime tariffs to charge up their batteries overnight, utilising this “cheap energy” during the following day! This allows for big savings during the short days in the winter, where sunshine is far less abundant.
St Albans – Velux Intergrated GSE System
This Installation in St Albans showcases both an excellent GSE system and the GivEnergy Inverter/Battery system we have been installing since 2023. Currently building a British based manufactory, GivEnergy are constantly improving both their hardware and software. With the new Gen3 models, it’s as simple as plug and play. See our Product Page.
Looking on the roof, you’ll see a GSE system set out perfectly in line with the Veluxes of the new dormer extension. Thanks to our team at Sherrards Developments, we were able to work with them throughout the whole process. Allowing for the little details to shine through. Harpenden – GivEnergy & GSE Install
Another GSE system fitted into a loft dormer, this install went smoothly working alongside Headington Construction. Communication is key, we worked with this client while they were in talks with multiple developers and helped advise everyone involved. At Untapped we are always happy to work alongside another contractor to design a system that works.
Due to the loft dormer on this property, their GivEnergy System system was installed outside on the exterior wall. All our systems are IP65 rated, meaning they can operate outside as long as they are out of direct sunlight and rain. Very handy when space is tight inside your home.
