Installing a battery storage system allows you to store excess energy generated by your solar photovoltaic (PV) system, rather than exporting it to the grid. An average Solar Panel system only uses a 1/3 of the electricity generated! Using batteies, you can use your energy later, when your energy consumption is higher and often more expensive. By storing excess solar energy, you reduce your reliance on traditional energy sources.
Additionally, battery storage allows you to use solar energy during times when your solar panels won’t be generating power, such as at night or on stormy days. As energy prices continue to rise, battery storage is becoming an increasingly cost-effective option for utilizing solar energy.
How do Batteries Work?
The most common batteries tie directly to a “hybrid inverter”. When solar energy is produced, if it’s not needed by the house, the inverter sends it to the batteries for later use. When the energy required increases, it’s diverted from the batteries back into the system and the house.

What size battery would I need?
All of our systems are designed specifically for your property. We determine the amount of energy being used and the way it is being used within your household. An average household uses around 10kWh of energy a day, so having the buffer of a 5kWh battery helps
How long does a battery last?
Battery manufacturing has improved massively in the last 5 years. New Lithium-ion batteries have taken over the market due to their massively increased efficiency and lifetime. The batteries we supply all come with warranties of 10+ years, and with careful management can last far longer.
